VR Performance

Featured Replies

First of all, I absolutely love this plane to death.  The cockpit looks stunning in VR, and it is a dream to fly.

However, I rarely fly the Falcon as the performance seems suffer quite badly in VR.  I have a fairly small fleet of high end add-on planes I fly:

Leonardo Maddog

A2A Comanche and Bonanza

Manfred Jahn DC-3

PMDG DC-6

and of course the FA50

The FA50 is by far the most resource heavy of the lot (followed by the PMDG DC-6, but even so, this is still noticeably better on FPS and VR than the Falcon).  I have been lucky enough to be a beta member for the Maddog project for quite a while, and whilst I know that we are very fortunate to have Davide programming the Maddog (and his other day job is programming the HADRON collider), it is amazing how it performs for such an absolutely complex aircraft.  I think he uses C++, and I think it is the most complex aircraft available for P3D (although I am sure that PMDG fans will argue), but gives me FPS in vR better than any other addon I have.

The long and short of this post is that I would love so much to spend more time in the FA50, but don't as the FPS are so poor.  Is there no way of improving this (stupid question, as I am sure you would have already done so if it was feasable).

No, I'm not aware of any planned changes in the Falcon 50 that would impact the FPS in VR.
