UPDATE:

Turned down the settings for trees / vegetation down from "Ultra" to "High" and that stopped the "tree painting row by row" effect.

Nuvecta plus MegaSceneryEarth isn't too bad for the western USA since there isn't much open water except for rivers and lakes.

Not too bad except for the lack of change of seasons and water surface.

did you change the setting for autogen draw distance to something else?  That could help

Scenery complex Very dense

Autogen draw distance medium

Autogen veg density very dense

Autogen Building Dense

Dynamic 3d autogen off
