April 30, 20206 yr Hey Guys, Aplogies if this has been asked before. I've just gained a PCIe Gen 3 M2 SSD (512GB) and have a 1TB HDD installed in my computer. Would it cause issues installing P3D to the SSD drive but installing the addons onto the HDD? I obviously want to utilise the speed of the M2 SSD but dont want the 512gb to be used up since it will be the OS HD also. Cheers, Alex
April 30, 20206 yr Should be fine. I have been using P3Dv4/5 across 3 storage and no problem at all. PC- AMD Ryzen 7800X3D, 64gb 6400mhz RAM, Nvidia RTX4090

Makes no difference to P3D where it looks for resources - one drive is a good as another one. BUT...and it's a big BUT...you should consider the read/write speed of any drive you use for obvious reasons. P3D is resource-intensive, and I try to make sure everything is on my faster drives of the 4 in my PC. I suggest you do some benchmarking to be sure your HDD is working optimally.
