Testing new plane downloads

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks,

OK, so there have been lots of good deals around what with Covid-19 and the generosity of developers and shops.

The IRIS Simulations offer in particular was really good, all planes for free.

That said mostly are fairly older releases not catering for an x64 P3D, nothing like a challange though and I'm happy to say I've the Jabiru 160~170, Venture MG.1, CT-4F Akala and the Grobs all working just fine in P3Dv4.5 HF3 and all with working sound and installed totally via the XML add-on method.

Getting sound working when installed via the xml method was the most problematic.

Doug Dawson's latest x64 sound gauge, a Panel.cfg mod, sound.ini mods as well as a custom folders for the specfic sounds referenced by the x64 DD gauge was what it took to get all working, more of a new gauge and sounds location restructure really.

Nice freebees and fun to both get working and flying around.
