May 9, 20206 yr Falcon 50 2.0b P3dv4.5HF2. The FUELING caution light remains on no matter what I do. That means the wing tanks will not feed because the airplane fuel system is stuck in fueling mode.

I did not realise that TIED meant vertical. lol - I'm new to the Falcon too - I just found that about 15 mins before you posted (in the manual) - also I had LO FUEL for a while during current flight - then it went out - (during same flight) - not sure yet what to do with that one (I fueled to LO before departing then it came up a few mins into the flight) Edited May 9, 20206 yr by julian46
May 9, 20206 yr Not sure if you have the RealityXP GTN 750 - it integrates really well with this aircraft - I have it running on an IPAD as well using space desk (just like on their Learjet)IMAGE-HERE

The electrical bus tie switches can be a “gotcha” too. In the Falcon 50EX, Dassault simplified the system, leaving only the center bus tie. The outer bus tie switches are always set to be vertical. The center switch should be horizontal until all three engines are running, after which it should be rotated to be vertical. May 9, 20206 yr Thanks - I noticed during startup with the center switch horizontal the voltage seemed higher (presumably better for the start) - then moved it vertical after all three running - really great plane - nice job FSW

If the center bus tie is vertical on the ground, the left main bus will be getting power only from the number one battery. Turning it horizontal routes APU/GPU power from the right bus to the left. Once all three engines are running, the right bus gets power from the number 3 generator, and the left bus from the generators on engines 1 and 2, so the bus tie can then be rotated vertical to the “flight normal” position to isolate the two buses. The only time it would need to be tied in flight would be if you lost the #3 engine generator, or both the number 1 and 2 generators. After landing, the checklist calls to re-tie the center bus, so the APU can be started during taxi to the ramp, and it will then automatically supply power to both buses on engine shutdown.
