Flytampa kai tak libraries is unchecked and cant turn it on

Featured Replies

In p3d v5 I’ve noticed that under my scenery library and addons that the flytampa entrie is unchecked. I’ve tried many times to enable it but it keeps showing as unchecked when i go back to my scenery library > addons. Anybody know why this is happening and how i can fix the problem?

I the P3D root folder you will find a Fly tampa folder. There should be a Kai Tak folder in there. I that folder you should see "Add to P3D". Run that as an administrator. That should at least do no harm. I suspect it will fix your problem.

I've tried that and it keeps unabling itself. Not sure what's going on. Could you show me what your add-on.cfg file looks like with that entry? I had to manually add it in but not sure if I entered it in correctly. Do you also have a fly tampa kai tak folder in your Prepar3D v5 Add-Ons folder? Cause I don't.

No its not in Add-Ons.

Roaming........Add-ons.cfg:

[Package.0]
PATH=E:\Prepar3D v5\FlyTampa\Toronto
ACTIVE=true
REQUIRED=false
[Package.1]
PATH=E:\Prepar3D v5\FlyTampa\KaiTak
ACTIVE=true
REQUIRED=false

That's the best I can do for you

Strange, my flytampa libraries is now shoing up in add-ons. it was ACTIVE=false, so I changed it to true and now it works. Weird.

there is a GUI for addons in the the sim. It shows a list of addons with a check box beside each one. If you uncheck an addon it disables it. The GUI looks very like the Scenery GUI. But you probably already new all of that.😁

Yes I know that. That's what I was referring to. It was unchecked there, but whenever I try to activate the flytampa library from there, it keeps disabling it. I had to manually edit the add-ons.cfg to enable it.
