May 19, 20206 yr I tried out voice control for the first time last night after exclusively using button control, and while following the SOP2 tutorial I could not get it to recognize one callout. The cruse callout, "Maintaining flight level 380 on standard" would not work. It would always pick it up as "maintaining flight level three eight zero control" or as "maintaining flight level three eight zero one three" if enunciated very particularly. I've already gone through the training in Windows. I even opened up notepad and turned on dictation and said it. Windows dictated "maintaining flight level 380 on standard" every single time. No matter how clear or muddled I made my enunciation, it picked it up every single time. But every single time, FS2Crew would fail to pick it up. This isn't a gamebreaker or anything. The rest of the flight proceeded without incident, and it almost seemed like that call wasn't actually implemented at all, but since it's in the tutorial, I wanted to make sure.
May 19, 20206 yr Commercial Member Highest we coded was FL360... that's probably why 380 didn't work. maintaining flight level three six zero on standard Edited May 19, 20206 yr by byork B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
May 19, 20206 yr Author That would certainly explain it. What was behind the decision to cap it at FL360?
May 20, 20206 yr Commercial Member I don't remember! I'll see if I can add more. Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
