Several big developers like PMDG have announced, that they would change to MSFS once it's out and not develop for P3D furthermore.

Keep the links coming, especially PMDG would be very interesting.

The orbx system with all the different product types and different sizes of the regions should be understood first before installing. Because of the different aerial sizes of the different products (global, continent, country, regions, local places, airports, trees, building types, ...) they interfere into each other and this can bring you severe compatibility problems which are not easy to find the reason and to solve.

Torsten, you don't use ORBX in P3D 4.5 do you?  After 7 years of P3D + Orbx Global/Regionals/Several Airports + ASN4 + multiple PMDG planes + FSCaptain + FSDT Airports and more:  no interference, no incompatibilities, never needed to reinstall Windows or the sim except about 5y ago when something became corrupt beyond repair in the Win 7 install--but I had a cloned copy so that resolved quickly.  So while I do agree with the idea of waiting to see what MSFS truly brings, P3D 4.5 is fabulously mature and capable sim, w/ exquisite compatibility to its myriad, mature 3rd party content.

My guess is it will take quite some time for MSFS to reach the level of maturity P3D has evolved into, at least thru 4.5, so therefore I will be happy to use it until we see where MSFS really is going.

They only said the stop developement for 32-bit platforms, not P3D as a whole.

And Flusinews.de "P3D has not future" is just plain biased BS.

I think the OP has gotten the info he wanted (and more) - Time to shut this down. Ben if you have further questions, feel free to start another thread.

AGAIN - this is the P3D forum - we are here to help people with questions about P3D. This forum is NOT the place to knock P3D or tell us how much you love something else. If you wish to troll this forum expect to take several days off.
