May 23, 20206 yr Hi I have just bought this to use in V5, and no matter what I do or how configure it or how low I set my settings in the sim it runs at between 12 and 17 FPS. I have even disabled all my other add-ons and nothing makes any difference. I also made sure I ran the v5 patch for navigraph from the carenado website. Even when the aircraft is cold and dark the performance is just as bad. I have tried it with and without the f1 GTN 750....just the same. I have tried disabling the carenavigraph dll which appeared to have been causing issues for some. Still just the same. I've tried it with and without chaseplane….just the same. Clear skies and noi weather engine.....just the same. So, the aircraft seems like it loads and functions, but it really is just un-useable due to the low FPS. I have a 7700 non-k and a 1070 8gb and I'm getting blistering performance in v5 even with all my a2a aircraft with the RXP GNS fitted. Anyone else experiencing this issue with the B120, particularly in v5? At the moment, it is a hugely disappointing purchase and will be the last Carenado aircraft I buy if it doesn't get fixed. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks Edited May 23, 20206 yr by peregrine
May 23, 20206 yr Same problem here, and also looking for a solution. It's the only Carenado that displays this strange behaviour...

I have made some progress, but not tested it - so don't necessarily try it yet unless you want to have a go. I will test it today and report back here. In your sim root folder exists the "Gauges'' folder. Go in there. There is a file in there called PROLINE21_B120.CAB. Extract the contents to the CARB120 folder that sits in the gauges folder. Then, there is a file called "Proline_Config_B120.xml" - open it in notepad. Change the value near the top that says 18.0 which limits the "tick" of the refresh of the gauge. This seems to be setting the maximum FPS for the aircraft - really weird! I changed it to a value of 27 as that is the FPS I max my sim at (internally, not externally). I also had to disable the other 2 files that come as part of the package (proline common and proline patch) - I just put a .bak extension on them both. Voila - I have a rock steady 27 fps and it flies smoothly. I do not know about the functionality though - so I'll test it and see if it works. What it does tell us is that clearly, somewhere, there is a variable or hard-coded value that is choking the FPS to 18 - the max frames I was getting before I tried this.
