I seem to remember seeing a program that was for FS that was similar to ENDITALL.I have way too many processes running and need to put my PC on a diet.Could someone point me to where I can find it? (I did search this forum and also Google)Thanks
October 19, 200619 yr Search for a program called FSAutoStart written by one of the mods here, Ken Salter. I believe you can find it in the file library or at Ken's website. Just Google FSAutoStart. October 19, 200619 yr I myself use the msconfig of winXP. I run it and disable as follows to make my machine lean:1. I disable All on the startup tab.2. on the services tab, I hide all Microsoft Services and disable the rest.3. I disable all on the win.ini and system.ini tabs4. I restartWhen you want to go back to normal, run msconfig again and choose normal startup.
October 19, 200619 yr This falls more under the category of "general tweaks", but it works great in concert with FS Autostart not only for FS, but for any other resource-intensive game. Do a google search for "Black Viper's Tweaks". It's a listing of resource-using services that you can turn off to get better performance from your system. A lot of the services XP loads amount to a lot of bloat that the average home user doesn't need, especially if the computer is used mainly for gaming/simming. Not only do games run better and quicker, but the general speed of your computer is increased somewhat because of less junk running in the background.Hope that helps!
