May 31, 20206 yr Is Carenado AT 72 FMS better than the AT 42 one? Looking at videos, it appears that AT 72 FMS is more complete (exemple: support airways entries instead of only waipoints) Does it has the same problem that pilot should enter the plan as follow: Departure Approach Arrival Enroute (airways/waipoints) to avoid unnecessary problems. In a word, is AT 72 FMS better and if it is the case, why didn't they retrofitted it to the ATR 42
May 31, 20206 yr I just installed in P5D and the FMS doesn't work at all. It's stuck on "LOADING DATABASE". The rest of the aircraft seems to work fine. ***STOP PRESS*** Problem fixed by editing dll.xml - the nav database updated properly and is working. About the only thing this FMS does is allow you to create a flight plan and then fly along it. You can create a flight plan using airways, however once you get going, the flight plan doesn't update as you move along. In other words, the TO waypoint doesn't sequence in the LEGS page. The PERF pages show the fuel flow, but not the fuel used, and there is still that 380 lbs or kgs of APU fuel that has been in every FMS since they started making them. It never changes and doesn't do anything. Edited May 31, 20206 yr by X24 Christopher Allan
July 4, 20205 yr Christopher, Hi How did you installed in P5D? Yesterday I purchased and spent many hours. I can install in P3Dv5 but when I start P3D, A72 500 is not appearing in "Vehicle" list. Can you help me? Edited July 4, 20205 yr by asanal Ahmet Sanal "Time you enjoyed wasting, was not wasted"
