Standby attitude indicator

Recommended Posts

Just want to start this off by saying I'm having a blast flying this around in P3D V5. This is the business jet I've been waiting/searching for and looking forward to the continued improvements down the road.

My only small issue is the standby attitude does not move. I can adjust the 'miniature airplane' ok but see no movement on the ball itself during flight.

Maybe a V5 bug? Any ideas?

Thanks so much

In the default cold and dark start-up state, the standby attitude indicator is locked. This emulates a feature of the real indicator - pulling out the setting knob and turning it locks the pitch axis at zero, and the roll axis at level. This ensures that the initial alignment as the internal gyro is coming up to speed will be perfectly level.

Before taxi, the gyro needs to be unlocked. In the sim this is done by hovering the mouse pointer on the setting knob and clicking the center mouse button (or click the mouse wheel if so equipped).
