June 8, 20205 yr I've had an issue with the keyboard and P3D v5 a few times now. Essentially, suddenly during flight, the keyboard does not work. Even tapping P won't pause. The keyboard itself is still working as I can alt-tab and do other things on the PC, however the sim just doesn't react to it. If I restart P3D v5 all is fine. Any ideas what could cause it?
June 8, 20205 yr maybe you were typing something into an FMC or EFB and the cursor is still stuck there.. you need to come out of it. has happened to me a lot in XP11 and P3D.. some apps wont release the cursor until you explicitly click out of it.. especially the FMC , EFBs, and any internal menu within P3D.. I thought at first it may have been that, but I checked the CDU and the EFB.

Any ideas what could cause it? I have been frustrated today by exactly the same thing in P3D 4.5 HF3. I was just about to assign a couple of switches with FSUIPC but the keyboard kept losing function and the sim appeared to freeze. The pause key did not work and I could not move around the vc panel or change zoom levels. The mouse still functioned and the options tab showed the sim was in pause mode, and could be unpaused, but the freezes kept happening. To make it clear I am not talking about the pause mode which is triggered automatically on exiting FSUIPC. After resetting the scenario the keyboard worked normally again for a few selections and then froze again. Restarting the pc and reloading P3D produced same results. The keyboard is not faulty and everything was working normally yesterday. By chance there was a notification from MS today that they had reinstated one of the useless Win 10 gimmicks that I had disabled weeks ago, so there was obviously some minor update just been imposed which is probably the cause. How I miss the efficiency of Windows 7. John B
