Hi, I first want to say a big THANK YOU to the owners and moderators of this Avsim!!!! You are all doing a great job!Now on to the point...I am tired of entering the forum and having to scroll way past so that I can skip the flaming categories. I am not trying to offend anyone in that everyone has a right to state their opinion...but I think the bandwidth and with the slower speed of the forum (I realize due to the # of users)....time would be much better spent talking about what the average user can do to improve performance and not what is wrong (if anthing) with the design and programming of FSX. BTW...THANK YOU ACES FOR YOUR WORK.....I think everyone here will at least agree as to the future potential of FSX!I am a Canadian...so obviously I must apologize for this post...lol...and this is my third (or close to that) post on this forum. I think for the most part....this a terrific place...but in the last two weeks since FSX has been released....it honestly takes a lot of effort to weed the "ranting and raving" from the truly helpful topics.What is funny is that by me saying all this I might get the flaming responses...and I may deserve it...but I definitely not trying to provoke it...I rarely post...but I just had to speak my mind.Thank you for reading...hope I didn't bore you too much.Patrick

Thank you...I've actually read the forums for the past 2 years...and have really enjoyed the commentary and useful tips...it's just the last few weeks where it has been difficult. I do realize that with any new release..there is this type of posts...just wanted to vent I guess...again..thanks for 'listening'....and as to the trivia...are you just south of niagara?

Another Canadian from the south ontario area that tries to sit back and read most of the time around here.I agree though that it really is release dependent. I don't think you'll be seeing any of this in about 6 months. By that time the people who don't like the sim will have moved on, and those who are enjoying it will have it tweaked and be into working on content. Not to say the sim has no shortcomings, as it obviously does, but there's enough potential and things that are good already to keep many many people happy with (at least working on) it for a few years.It's happened the last 2 times too. (I wasn't here before that)Try to weed through the threads for the moment, and it will get better.-Rob

The sad thing is that there are as many posts complaining about complainers as there are posts complaining about FSX.(If not more.)

so because you don't agree with it, you don't want people to speak their mind? And this includes the people bashing the top 3 well-known developers of scenery for the game? If you don't want to read it, DON'T READ IT. Claiming "bandwidth" is hilarious, do you know how little text takes up your precious bandwidth?

The owners of this forum could opt to create a "Pros" and a "Cons" category under FSX Forum and let people post only the good in Pros and only the bad in Cons.That might help you get to the good without having to read the bad.You might NOT find many postings under the "Pros" ;) I've only used FSX for 2 hours and unfortunatley I have a long list of pretty serious problems.Rob.
