Last update 2.7.1.0 reducing radio volume (resolved)

Featured Replies

For a while now I have been troubled by the radio volume in X-Plane 11.41.  I can barely hear the radios.  The volume is all the way up and even if I turn all of the other volumes almost all the way down I can still barely hear the radio.  Today I disabled all of the plugins I am using and to my surprise the radios came through loud and clear.  I enabled plugins one at a time and discovered that the Reality XP plugin was the cause.  When I disable it and have all of the other plugins running the radio is loud and clear.  Enable the Reality XP plugin and the radio volume drastically drops.  I uninstalled the latest version and reinstalled it.  Same issue.  I uninstalled it again and installed 2.5.25.0.and still have the same issue.  I am wondering if it has something to do with the new trainer?

A friend of mine suggested that I check the radio volume in the GTN trainer.  Sure enough it was turned way down.  So I set it to the highest setting and then tried X-Plane 11.41.  Had the same issue and so I checked the com volume in the GTN in the aircraft and it was turned way down.  Set that to max and now everything is working.  I haven't had this experience before but at least now I know what to look for.  Just wanted to pass this on to others.

So sorry for posting this.  It wasn't until after I posted the first entry that my friend suggested a fix.  But I definitely will remember this in the future.

HI,

Yes this is a feature which is documented in the RXP User's Manual!
