October 27, 200619 yr I installed FSX and it seems to be working with one exception. The time shifts by 3 hours or so sometimes, not always. I set up a free flight and set the time (or leave it as is) and when it loads at the airport (in the same time zone) it shifts forward 3 hours. never had this problem with FS9 or any other software on this computer. Is anyone experience this? Am I missing a setting somewhere? Thanks,Craigjjs
October 28, 200619 yr I have the same problem. I like to fly realtime most of the time and that means I have to set the time back everytime I startup FSX.Bruce
October 28, 200619 yr I noticed it was dark early the first time I flew; so I must have the same problem but I have been flying daytime at nite to check out the scenery. This will be an issue when I go back to my real time ways.Best Regards, Donny :-waveFLYing? It's cool. Trillions of birds and insects can't be wrong.
October 28, 200619 yr Yes, Craig, I have experienced that, too. Usually, when the scenery reloads itself. Weird.Tim
October 28, 200619 yr The problem occurs whether I set system time on or off. Today, I noticed dates shifting. It shifted from today's date to a date in July. Weird.Craig
October 28, 200619 yr I have the same issue. It appears as though it is using Pacific Standard Time here in the US. I'm in Eastern Standard Time so there is always a 3 hour difference. There was a workaround for this in FS9 though I forget what it was. That same workaround may work here in FSX. A search of the library might help.Jim
October 28, 200619 yr I never experience this problem with FS9 (I am still running FS9 to maintain my sanity).Craig
October 28, 200619 yr I had the same problem in FS9 and now also in FSX. Overall, i really like FSX....
October 28, 200619 yr Author What is your time zone? What time zone is your default flight set in?I found in FS2002 and FS2004 that I really need to set the default flight to an airport on the same time as where my computer sits/ computer clock.I don't know if this is a requirement in FSX, but I've changed the default flight. It's one of the first things I do after installing FS.I have not seen any time shifts in either FS2002, FS2004 or FSX since making that change to my default flight. And the good news is that unlike FS2004, changing the default flight in FSX is easy and works the first time.
