Loosing Vram due to Fullscreen P3d v5 HF1/2

Featured Replies

When I switch to fullscreen, my vram consumption increases and the max vram shrinks. For example from 4.5/7.1 GB to 4.9/6.8GB. Anyone made the same observations?

I’ve noticed that behavior too, and wonder if it’s a 4K thing since it not only increases vram usage, but often (strangely not always on my pc) reduces available vram from 7.1 to 6.8 upon going to full screen - but that decrease of available vram is inconsistent strangely. Sometimes it’ll stay at 7.1, sometimes it’ll only have a max of 6.8.

Sorry I don’t have a solution.

Cheers,

Peter

I observed the same behavior (the 7.1->6.8 part) and switched to 1440p at 30hz. It doesn't happen with 1440p and also, I saved about 1GB of VRAM so can run other settings much higher now. I was very hesitant to do this because I was so attached to my 4k resolution in v4.5, but I can honestly say it is working great now and that change to 1440p solved most of my VRAM problems. No regrets with making the change.
