You are right. PMDG released the MD11 in the end of 2008 after 8! years of development.

I love the old lady too. You are right, looking from today, the details are not "state of the art", but compared to a lot of other FS products released in the last ten years from other developers, the MD11 is miles ahead. The systems are acruate simulated and you can feel like a real MD11 pilot. Yes, a weather radar and ACARS weather Link would be fantastic. I am sure, PMDG would find many new customers for this bird, if they will add this features. The model is more than ten years old and not so nice, but hey, your place is on the flightdeck! May you pimp the Model up with some HD-repaints. Cheers

From my point of view PMDG will not invest into the MD11 anymore. Is there no other way to get the nessecary Informations from PMDG?

Hi Henka, GSX can only display 2 cargoloader in total (Software limitations). Same issue for freighters. You have one at the maincargodoor and one at the lowerdeck (for the md11 standart aft door). If you use the latest version, it works out of the Box for the md11. FSDT develop a cargo edition for GSX, release date is unknown.

I think your actual weather datas loaded not correct. If you have a 1013 environment in your sim and you set the QNH to 1006, you are under the apron.

If I select another page than the air-page or the lower eicas is off, the cabin pressure indicator disappear from the upper eicas.

I found a lot of pics with and without these indicator. May there is an option to activate it?

Hi Folks, I have a question to the service-based failures logic. In Manual is to be read as follows: "Service Based failures will provide you with a highly realistic simulation of failures on and operational airplane. As you fly the simulator, the total flight time and system operation of the airplane is tracked. The combination of factors will be compared against known data predicting the Mean Time Before Failure for every component on the airplane. As failures take place, you will need to use the Quick Reference Handbook to resolve the failures and your judgment as captain to determine whether it is feasible to continue on to your destination, or whether a diversion for maintenance is required. When operating under the serviced based failures process, you may fly for many hours without seeing any mechanical unreliability in your airplane. Conversely you experience a streak of mechanical failures from the mundane to the critical. When operating with the Service Based Failures module active, it will be necessary to occasionally have your airplane “serviced” by your line maintenance crews." I have understood that the time of flight and system data for the Fin numbers stored individually. The question I ask myself if I burden some components extreme, then the likelihood of obtaining higher in these parts a defect, or happens at random? Examples: - I always land hard, my brakes overheating regularly and not let cool / replace - I get probably a brake / tire fail? - I ignore the low oil level - I get probably a engine-fail?
