Hi--are you using any particular ATC program?

FYI, you can add some avionics sounds to Pilot2ATC, such as radio static, the click sound when flopping frequencies and the mic click.  Great addon-best atc short of Vatsim.

Simsounds app works great for adding immersive sounds.

Hmm... I think i was not precise here, so i start again.

I want to improve immersion when being inside cockpit.

So far it is so that after switching on batteries cockpit is totally silent - no sound of gyro, no sound of fans cooling avionics, not realistic as we speak about big tubeliner.

So i thought i will change that by adding a sound file which will sound like cooling fan, just to hear some hum inside cockpit.

Problem is that i do not know how to modify 'sound.cfg' to add such file and play that one after switching on batteries.

qw787, pmdg etc all have very good avionics sounds as you power up the aircraft.. which tubeline do you have?

You can add a [GYRO_SOUND] section to your sound.cfg file like this example:

[GYRO_SOUND]
filename=TSS-Cockpitenv
flags=0
viewpoint=1
minimum_volume=8650
maximum_volume=9582

There is no stock avionics WAV file so you need to find a suitable one yourself.
