Learjet sounds vs Falcon soundset

Since the Learjet uses the same engines as the Falcon is it possible to use the Learjet soundset for the Falcon 50? Some of the switches probably sound different, but the Falcon uses the same TFE731 engine as the Learjet 35, correct?

Not a good idea I would think. Some of the Lear sounds were recorded 'live' and are unique to that a/c. And a particular numbered sound for the Lear, say for example, the landing gear sound, may not be the same numbered sound for the Falcon's landing gear. So when lowering the Falcon's gear you might end up with the Lear's flap sound, etc.

A lot of work goes into getting the sounds correct for each aircraft. What is the motivation for wanting to replace the Falcon sounds with the Lear sounds?

I Just like the sounds of the Lear, but I don't want to mess up the sounds of course. I guess my main reason is the sounds in the Falcon are really quiet. I don't really hear any avionics noise and the engines are extremely quiet at idle. The Learjet kind of has that "droning" sound from the engines that you don't hear in the Falcon.

Jim Barrett, who works with Falcon a/c in real life and fortunately often posts here, hopefully will see this and  comment on what is realistic sound-wise for the Falcon. It could be that the Falcon is inherently a more quiet a/c then the Lear35. I don't have the first hand experience to knowingly comment on that.

As an aside, the sound you hear when opening the Falcon's pilot side window was recorded live by Jim.

There are many different versions and sub-versions of the TFE-731 engine. The ones used on the Lear 35 (TFE-731-2) are physically smaller, (smaller fan) and have less thrust than those on the Falcon (TFE-731-3) The exhaust mixing nozzles are different, and the engines on the Lear are closer to the cabin than those on the Falcon, and generally sound louder inside the aircraft.
