October 22, 200619 yr Presently I'm using my motherboard's sound drivers. I do have an older Audigy SE that I can put into the computer I took it out because it was causing problems of not shutting down completely. My question is do you think I would gain any framerates in FSX but installing the Audigy soundcard. SJED
October 22, 200619 yr Hi; Not sure what kind of troubles you had with the sound card butswitching from onboard sound sure improved my results with fs9. Denny Retired Professional Tourist
October 22, 200619 yr On-board soundcards are not recommended. You are better off with a cheap dedicated soundcard, because they buffer the sounds better and have better DACs, thus relieving the CPU.Good luck!Pat
October 22, 200619 yr Author I bought a new soundcard for $22 because the mike stopped working in the onboard one. I am using both-one for mike and one for sound-not sure if that helps performance or not though.http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
