July 24, 20205 yr From what I understand, mesh data is the resolution of the peaks and valleys of Earth. Has Asobo ever indicated that mesh data will be improved for MSFS? An example of what i mean, is in this image of Rio de Janeiro, Bing Maps captures a general elevation of mountains, but ignored the high resolution elevation change for Sugar Loaf Mountain and instead shows it completely leveled off. It shows this mountain correctly in the pre-release trailer, but Asobo likely hand-drew that. But maybe it is indeed better automatic mesh data being used for this sim? July 24, 20205 yr You are talking about mesh. The answer is probably no. Edited July 24, 20205 yr by bonchie
August 11, 20205 yr The Alps result terrible, very low mesh resolution, the same as FSX, although the autogen is largely improved. Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).
August 11, 20205 yr Higher resolution meshes result in huge loading times because people still refuse to get rid of their HDD drives... R5 3600 - GTX 1070OC - 32GB 3200 - NVME - 3440x1440 160Hz - VR(Quest 2) GarbagePoster™
