In 2020 as a whole, industry sales are expected to reach USD 6.9 billion - considerably more than the USD 6.3 billion previously forecast. In the field of VR Headsets, Superdata reports that things have recently gone better than expected, especially for Oculus, a company belonging to Facebook. Around 177,000 units of the Oculus Quest were sold between April and June 2020. This means that the device has beaten the long-time market leader Playstation VR, which sold around 155,000 units. SuperData XR Q2 2020 Update Quest is a lot better than the PSVR - was always surprised how many units that sold (and yes, i have both). VR is here to stay, and i’d certainly encourage any simmers who haven’t tried it to give it a shot.
