Were to buy the disk DVD version/FSX compatible?

Featured Replies

Just wandering where you can buy the FS2020 disk version in the US (I don't want to spend hours,if now days downloading it).  Also, are  FSX aircraft, scenery, and addons (like Active Sky) compatible with FS2020?

Unfortunately, the Disk version is only sold in Europe and not shipped to the U.S. Sorry that I have no better news in that regard 😢

As far as compatibility, it is safe to expect and assume that nothing from FSX will be compatible with MSFS.

It is important to understand that FS2020 is an entirely new flight simulator, and NOT an "upgrade" to FSX or anything else. Not only are FSX scenery and Active Sky incompatible with FS2020, you don't WANT them because the scenery and weather built into the program are superior to these add-ons. And I say this as a devoted user of FSX and Active Sky. It's a new era.

Bummer (on both counts)!  Well, I haven't been using FSX all that  much (I still prefer FS2004 to FSX) so I don't have that much invested in FSX a/c, scenery or addons.

You mean I can't buy the disk version from Aerosoft and have it shipped to me?!  Humm...I've got relatives (actually, they're my late wife's relatives) in Switzerland.  Maybe I'll ask them to purchase the disk version for me and ship it to me...
