FSX DVD AND CD?

Featured Replies

Does FSX come in DVD and CD format? If so how many each?ThanksAbe

DVD's only. The Deluxe version has two of them. - Doug

Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. Klaatu barada nickto.

The two DVDs take 30 minutes to load. You have a choice at the beginning to place the files somewhere other than C: (if you wish).I elected to have the FSX load at the end of setup and register at the same time. That took about one minute. Smooth.Very impressed with the flying dynamics (at last the aircraft behave and feel like aircraft), the missions (even the beginner ones are entertaining - good sense of humour used throughout) and the eye candy which can suck frame rates but good to see it there.CheersMike

Available on DVD's only. The installed size of the Deluxe version is approx 15 gig. This is by far the largest sim/game I have ever installed. If it were to come on CD you're probably looking at well over a dozen of them.Remeber when MS office came on something like 20 Floppies?

The packed files for FSX are about 8.7GB for the deluxe - that would be 14 or 15 CD's minimum.
