Just search for toggle flashlight under key bindings.  It is white and I'm not sure if there is a way to make it red.  I bet some smart person will figure that out.

Yes Red would be nice.

There is a setting under General -- Camera -- Flashlight Mode, to toggle to Auto or Manual. I found on Auto it was a bit screwy so opted for the manual intervention.
