August 19, 20205 yr I see the options there and trying to figure it out but I am a bit lost here. Do I have to select a different path if I want it to go somewhere else in that screen? It looks like thats the path where my rolling cache is set and I want to keep it that way...or does rolling cache and manual cache have to go to same place? Also, do I have to paint a large area, zoom in each area and paint medium, then zoom in again and paint small? i9 11900K @ 5.3 RTX 3070TI 8GB 32 GB RAM @ 4200 GHZ 1 TB SSD 1080p G-Sync 27" Monitor
August 19, 20205 yr They should go in two different places. When you use the manual cache, zoom in until you see the square boxes. Then start with the low resolution area first. Afterwards, zoom in further until the resolution switches to medium. Create the next area. Then continue by zooming in further until high resolution is indicated. Finalize your manual area by drawing the last part. Hope this helps. Hans

Hope this helps. another few q's... 1. if I am mapping islands, do I need to do the water as well? Doesnt seem so since Water is generic in the sim. 2. If I create the manual cache file, will it always load the scenery from the manual cache for that reason from now on when I go to an airport in that region? i9 11900K @ 5.3 RTX 3070TI 8GB 32 GB RAM @ 4200 GHZ 1 TB SSD 1080p G-Sync 27" Monitor
August 19, 20205 yr Not sure about 1, I would assume no. Regarding your second question: My understanding is that manual cache comes before rolling cache. So the answer would be yes. But I might be wrong. Hans
August 19, 20205 yr I can't work out how to deselect a region that I've painted. Pan and paint are shown using a mouse icon that makes sense but "brush mode (hold)" and "remove (hold)" are a swirly blue icon and I have no idea what that means. Edit to add: it's CTRL ! 😄 Edited August 19, 20205 yr by Mukatsuku
