Don't Believe the Hype....

Featured Replies

There is a lot of talk about how “bad” MSFS is doing….

I did not buy it on steam (as I usually do for PC sims), but some talk about bad reviews / forum discussions led me to MSFS on steam.

About 3,800 mixed reviews….a live stream with over 35k views and a “community” section with screenshots, vids, and some guides on various aspects of the sim. Overall, to me…MSFS is doing well over there...and elsewhere.

You see…most of us got it…because we get it…

Despite not being perfect on day 1, MSFS is epic given what it has accomplished.

Those who want it to fail….fail to see the obvious. And all the bad press does not impress those who see beyond the hype.

It's a new day and it's only going to get better

Currently at 40k playing on steam, peaked at 61k over the last 24 hours.

Not sure if you can see how many people are playing the Windows Store version.

I've worked on games and we used to have a name for the type of people like OP, who will blindly defend a title based on nothing more than some empty emotional attachment to the franchise or company.

I paid $120 for this title which is 2x the amount of other titles. I expected something other than early access quality and got something that's barely event that.

If I wanted this product to fail, I would have gotten game pass and bashed it. You turning a blind eye and trying to justify this beta piece of software is the problem, not the people rightfully criticizing it.

Why didn't you just get Gamepass in the first place to try it on the cheap before deciding to pay full price? It's not like Pre-ordering got you any bonuses.

No emotional attachment here, well...I did get a little emotional last night when I followed the highway, and "spot on" visual cues to see my home...exactly as it stands...with trees in front and back.

And for $120...you got the world. Trying getting all of what MSFS has to offer stock...in another sim without spending over $500.

Hold up there now...I did not say it was perfect.

There are things to criticize...but I decided to do so in a constructive manner to make the sim better, not complain about how I spent $120 for the world, and got cheated because MSFS didn't to put a stop sign on the corner of my street.

It's interesting that reviewers in general are in unanimous praise of MSFS 2020.  IGN called it a masterpiece and gave it 10/10.   This is a knock-out-of-the-park winner for Microsoft which will open up flightsimming to the masses.

Time for the incessant whingers and complainers to get a life.
