August 20, 20205 yr The heading indicator in the default C172 seems to be locked to the current heading and faces no frictional precession like it does in real life, and there's no need to ever check the mag compass... Is there any hope for this being added in?
August 20, 20205 yr I just flew for over an hour in the 152 and when I went to land I realized my pattern was off kilter - I turned runway heading for my downwind and ended up angled to the runway. I checked against my mag compass and the heading indicator on my panel was off. I had to readjust it, so seems like gyro drift is working Drew Sikora Staff Blog Founder/Designer, MSE Airports
