August 20, 20205 yr TLDR: Anyone know if it's possible to tell MSFS to ignore a controller device without disconnecting it? While I was searching for some peripheral recommendations a few weeks back, I came across a great flight sim setup where the fellow had a couple of touch screens for instrument pop-outs. So I went ahead and bought a small 12" HD touch screen and it works wonderfully in Windows. I was hoping to use it for pop-out windows like the ATC, Checklist, etc. and while it does display those pop out windows just fine, MSFS2020 has trouble with the touch panel. It looks like MSFS has added the touch panel as an unrecognized controller device. I'd like for MSFS to leave the touch panel alone and let Windows manage it. Anyone else with this kind of setup? Anyone know if it's possible to tell MSFS to ignore a controller device without disconnecting it?
January 30, 20215 yr I know this post is a bit of a necro, but I too have now stumbled onto this problem. I'm working on my software cockpit app and was expecting that the G3000 touch panels would work when popped out to a separate window. I was quite disheartened to discover the exact same issue you have described. It is still unsolved as at this time after 5+ months 😞 It seems that there is not a real lot of need for this functionality as I see very little "noise" about it in the usual MSFS hangouts - a bit surprising really as this strikes me as an absolutely perfect use for a touch screen...

Darn it! I was looking at grabbing a small 5" touchscreen specifically for the G3000 setup. 😞
February 18, 20215 yr Would love it to work. I use a Iiyama touchscreen for the Reality XP GTN 750 in Prepar3D, I really miss that.
