Bing map data default off

Featured Replies

Hi guys

First of all I would like to say how much I am impressed my Microsoft flight simulator 2020. Not to say it doesn’t have issues but it’s new so of course. I think this was to be expected and they will be fixed. This simulator is years ahead of anything we have ever had. I CANNOT wait for PMDG as i seem to struggle with the default planes

I noticed in the settings that bing data is turned off by default? I turned it on and it says it will use a lot of data. Is there a reason it’s off by default? Surely it’s meant to be on to keep the sim looking amazing

I realized today  that one of the hotfixes must have turned Bing off. I have been flying around for 2 days, with it off, and just noticed it this morning.
