can't turn off builtin FPS counter - help :(

Featured Replies

Hi guys, i can't seem to find a way to switch off the builtin FPS counter in the SIM when not in developer mode....

here is what happened, I turned on DEV mode and turned on the FPS monitor, did whatever testing i did and than i switched off the DEV mode and   closed my SIM.
when i launched the SIM again, i see the FPS monitor is on even thgou DEV mode is off, so i turned on DEV mode and switched FPS menu on and off and i made it disappear.
However, when i than switched off DEV mode, the FPS monitor comes on and I have no way to switch it off.
in a way, when i DEV mode I can control rather it would appear or not, but when not in DEV mode, it is forced on and I have no idea how to turn it off  in none DEV mode.
I am kinda stuck now in DEV mode because that is the only way i can switch it off. any idea??? Help 😞

I had the exact same thing today. Turn on developer mode uncheck show FPS then Tuen off developer mode. I did this and it came back on so I exited the program then rebooted and all was good.

I use Riva Tuner which is part of MSI Afterburner for in game hardware displays

Hope this helps

i stopped using Riva /MSI as i found out it was unreliable

The Two uses cases I encountered with:
1. if you pop-out a window, FPS values are off scale big time
2. flying in condense area where my true FPS was 16FPS (dev mode showed 16FPS and it really felt like 16FPS) ,MSI afterburner / RivaStatistics and Nvidia Hud both showed i was around 32FPS
but who know how many other use cases could effect the FPS values on external counters such as the MSI afterburner in this SIM

you can read more about it here:
