August 23, 20205 yr I just got an X-Plane add-on that simulates having a GA charter business, so I'm doing more VFR flying. I'm familiar with the use of ATC in VFR but am not sure how to set up P2A to do what I want... 1. Fly VFR from DEP to DES airports (no class B or C) without flight following. 2. Be able to communicate as required with grnd and twr, and with local traffic at untowered airports. Announce pattern dep. and pattern position on landing. Is this possible? If so, how? What are my options?
August 23, 20205 yr Sidney, I have made a number of videos. You're welcome to check them out. I'll link the three that seem to meet your request. I have many others too. Here is one on Class C to Class C VFR: Here is another on Class E to Class D This is my most popular one on general VFR using Pilot2ATC X-Plane 12, Ryzen 7 9800X3D, Nvidia RTX 5090, Asus ROG Strix X870E-E mb, 96GB DDR5 (6800MHz), 4TB SSD, Triple Monitor 1440p, Windows 11, FliteSim CLS-120 Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo, TurtleBeach VelocityOne Pedals, RealSimGear G1000 Suite, PropWash Radio Stack, Tobii Tracker 5, Asus Xonar U5 sound card.
August 24, 20205 yr Author Nice videos...thanks for sharing them. I worded my question very badly. What I meant to ask was do I need to create and file a P2A flight plan for VFR flights, and the answer is no. 👍
