Twin controller set up?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

This has been driving me crazy and I cannot seem to find an answer. Tried searching the forum...

I would like to use a yoke for yoke controlled planes but use a stick for stick controlled planes (Cub, etc.).

I can get a stick to use the ailerons and the yoke to use the elevator or vice a versa. but not both axis alone.

Help!

Thanks guys..

In the controller settings, select each controller in turn and manually assign the axis and buttons on each. Unless the sim does not have the ability to allow a single axis to be used simultaneously by two different controllers...

I have tried that. Same effect though.

Thank you!

You're ALMOST there. If you have the same axis on two controllers, they will interact and you will get strange results. Solution I used is to create a null profile for each controller.

Then when you want to fly with the yoke, enable the yoke and enable the NULL version of the stick so it doesn't interfere and vice versa. I have a ch yoke, rudders , TQ and saitek X55 all connected so I just select the controllers I want to use and deselect (null profile) the others.

Not at my flight system but it is pretty simple -

First, select each device and set it up the way you want giving it a profile name ( CH Yoke Full I use)

Then select the first one say CH YOKE FULL -  down below tyhere is a profile manager selection - select it - use the icons to DUPLICATE the current (CH YOKE FULL) Profile and give it a name (CH YOKE NULL) - remove all axis assignments  - save it.

Repeat for each device where there may be a conflict, then select the full yoke and null stick, or vice versa.

If you want youi can set up different profiles for different aircraft the same way, just keep in mind that the same setting in different devices at the same time will cause problems.

Have fun!  🙂
