August 25, 20205 yr Does anyone know what kind of sensitivity settings help with taxiing? I'm currently finding it difficult to even perform 90 degree turns at the moment.
August 25, 20205 yr Just brake and turn FSX | DCS | X-Plane 11 | MSFS 2020 | IL2:BoX Favorite aircraft currently: MSFS Savage Cub
August 25, 20205 yr How fast are you going? You won't be able to turn very sharply @ 20 knots in the 787 for example.
August 25, 20205 yr Author Trust me, I'm not speeding. I'll play around with it some more. Mostly flying small aircraft at the moment.
August 25, 20205 yr In this sim turning circles are dependent on either differential braking, optionally linked rudder to nosewheel or a combination of both. There are quite detailed parameters in the flight_model.cfg file for each aircraft that can adjust the rate at which steering tails off with speed and many other entries, but they are not particularly effective unless combined with infinite care. It takes a long time to adjust properly. I spent several hours doing this on the Bonanza. The challenge is to get the ground steering effective without also making the rudder or steering violently squirm the aircraft on the take off run. August 25, 20205 yr I've no real word experience and also not much sim time, but i.e. in the xcub i noticed that a little bit of throttle helps turning at lower speeds. Could be the prop wash effect on the rudder? Do not hammer me too much please... Marco Manieri Perugia - Italy
