October 30, 200619 yr Since no one else has answered since you posted, why not try it out and tell US?park yourself at a good spotpausetake a screenshotsave the flightexit the flight to the menu pagedrop the files in fsxsceneryworldsceneryreload the flighttake a screenshotcompare the imagespost the results. There is new 38m mesh for France and also for the Alps. I wonder what the default resolution is for the Alps....I know it was pretty coarse in the fs9 default but it might already be 79m. What resolution was Holger's mesh? If it's more than 38, you may want to try the newer version. Loyd Hooked since FS4... now flying: FSX Acceleration on Win7/64, Core Duo E8400; GA-EP45-DS3R; GTX 460-768MB; 4G RAM; Freezer 7 Pro
October 30, 200619 yr Yes FS2004 mesh files will work fine in FSX, but apparently true FSX-compiled mesh files will have certain performance benefits in FSX.If you want to know more about this topic, you can go to FSGenesis web site.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2.5 ghz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (94.47), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 GB Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8, WD 250 gig 7200 rpm SATA2, CoolerMaster Praetorian Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
