Mounting options

Recommended Posts

I’m looking at getting a ‘sim racing seat’ with a steering wheel mount (eg something from the X-Rocker or GT Omega ranges), and i’m wondering if they have some standard hole placements for Logitech and Thrustmaster wheels, and if the Fulcrum matches any of these?

Hi Nathan

The yoke does have threaded holes for mounting to a wheel stand or cockpit build but they are not aligned with any existing wheels or yokes. The positioning of the holes is based on the internal mechanism of the yoke and the mounting of the desk clamp. We did not want to compromise the mechanism as this is the heart of what makes this yoke so special.

There  is an included drill template supplied with the yoke though for easy drilling of stands or cockpit set ups.

Hope this helps.

Chris

I saw the title of the thread and thought....It doesn't matter what I thought, it was wrong. 😵

Drilling additional holes in the racing/cockpit seat should be possible or otherwise you could just mount a piece of MDF on the seat and mount the yoke on that.
I am considering a similar setup as Nathan, depending whether VR works nicely for MSFS, because than I can don't have to buy an additional monitor for the seat.

I’m sure it was very wrong Ron.

Thanks all - no problem adding either a wooden shim plate, or drilling in the metal plate direct.

I’ll be modding the sim-racing frame anyway for VR placement of TPM controls, so I just wondered if it was one more thing to mod, or not.

And Ron, my girlfriend said the same when she saw the title. How did i miss that!
