August 27, 20205 yr Ive had it with MSFS2020 cities. Excluding those manually worked, the rest are a poor experience. Buildings where there arent any, different shapes, trees, parks missing. If you dont know the city you are fine, but cities you know well are very unpleasant to fly over and see nothing similar to the real thing. In the Tileproxy days, I disabled autogen buildings and trees and felt better that way, even with a flatten world. Cause the trees and buildings are there in the tileproxy google or Bing Maps, all the trees/buildings exactly as in real, but because they are flatten you just see roofs/top. At least all is in the correct place. Unless they are manually worked freeware or payware, I rather disable the autogen for day flying and enabled for night This autogen thing worsens the experience. if you dont know the place you are fooled on your own ignorance and think its "pretty real" If someone writes a script to be placed in Community that disables buildings at least, I will use it
August 27, 20205 yr Eh Casablanca wasn’t too bad, neither was Marrakech(though it has way more high rises than in real life) so the placement imho is good, just needs some love in the sdk, Hopefully we can get an easy to use centralized by region or map based website so there’s a one stop location to download a community sourced city/airport/scenery

That said, there are issues with it, and if you happen to be in an area with issues, it's just something we have to deal with. The actual bigger issue is at several small to medium sized airports, many of which have smushed buildings that can be a big eye sore on takeoff and landing. The better quality the Bing imagery for a given area, the more likely the autogen will be placed accurately (even for non-photogrammetry). As per the troublesome spots, going to need some third party addons probably, freeware or payware, whatever becomes available over time.
