August 29, 20205 yr I know there is a site for all the want a be content providers. What I wonder is if there are provisions or anyone trying to keep out Trojans and Virus programs. This new sim is getting a lot of noise around all the gaming sites and I wonder how long it will be before the hackers show up. There may be a good answer I don't know. How long will it be before thousands of folks learn the hard way. It is no secret that MS stuff is one of the top targets for these nut cases. It's no secret either that when people who do that kind of thing, the company's friends in high places get after that nut job's @ss in a hot minute. It might be all 'cool' how such hackers get portrayed in movies and TV shows, but in reality, they end up in a world of hurt, super-rapid, because money talks. You can't stick it to the richest software company on the planet and expect to get away with it. They'll be flashing their headlights on level three of an abandoned multi-storey car park and handing over an envelope of cash to some dodgy tough guy who's offered to go after you before you can hit Enter. August 29, 20205 yr Author Yep I get that but it is not much help to the 50,000 gamers sitting in front of their computer some morning with a message about the computer has been locked by Ransom Ware. A lot of us are pretty careful about what we download but You can just see from many post here that this thing has attracted a lot of folks with out a lot of judgement and experience. August 29, 20205 yr That's true, but any intelligent hacker who is capable of really doing some dodgy DNS attack or whatever, also knows that you don't go after the company which supplies the operating systems to the vast majority of people in the world, including many Governments and security agencies. A company like that has loads of people who are very keen to not see it have difficulties. That's what I'm talking about. Doing it would be suicide, and I don't mean metaphorically either. Don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting MS would countenance it, but that doesn't mean it would not happen. Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

We shall see. Party on guys!! August 29, 20205 yr Most Ransomware hackers follow the money trail - they extort companies, corporations, medical offices, and/or municipalities, many of whom have already paid pretty tidy sums to these cyber thieves. Don't really see where flight simmers keep that kind of big cash around, and are ready to give it up to unlock their files. But hey, still gotta stay vigilant - those Ebandits work 24/7...
