October 30, 200619 yr After following tweak advice in the Forum I began to get messages that Microsoft had encountered a problem and I was constantly knocked out of FSX.I undid the tweaks but the problem remained. My computer guru advised me to uninstall and install anew. Consequently I activated "Add and Remove Programs" in the Control Panel. That gave two options. The first was Repair and that's the first one I tried. When installing files it stopped at "btnuishhellarrow.bmp."I tried this option three times but it always stopped there.I then tried the second option which was to remove everything. That results in a message "Fatal Error During Installation" There appeares to be no other way to uninstall and start from scratch. So I'm stumped as to what to do now.Please......advice would be very much appreciated.Cliff
October 30, 200619 yr After uninstalling make sure the installation directory is deleted, then reboot and install. You can also use RegistryCrawler to get rid of the fsx; BUT you better know what you are doing.
October 31, 200619 yr Hey just wondering if you gotten things sorted out yet, if not i may be able to help. =)
October 31, 200619 yr Author You could try runnning setup from DVD 1, this gives an option to unistall. If it doesn't give an option to unistall then it is already unistalled.Good luck John Rig: Gigabyte B550 AORUS Master Motherboard, AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT CPU, 32GB DDR4 Ram, Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Graphics, Samsung Odyssey wide view display (5120 x 1440 pixels) with VSYNC on.
