October 30, 200619 yr Seems that US television as an abundance of reality shows where people get booted off the show by fellow contestants. How about this. We the forum users force some civility into the FSX forum through democracy. Post the user name of an individual who consistantly posts negative or unhelpful replies to requests for help. Once that member tallies up enough marks against then, the Avsim staff deletes them as a forum member. As a plus, Avsim no longer gets pointed at as the bad guy for deleting a member. It's the decision of us, the users.Regards,SDP.S. I hope I don't get deleted for suggesting this!
October 30, 200619 yr Yeah I'd say that this post is probably stirring up a pot that we don't need stirred. Next thing we know we will all be huddled around the town square with pitch forks. Not cool...
October 30, 200619 yr LOL, I agree, some FSX non users just want to stir the pot in this forum for whatever reason, but if you look at their history, it makes sense.BTW if you feel a post is out of line, there is an alert button at the bottom left, use it.Regards, MichaelKDFW Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe nForce4 SLI-x16 / AMD Best, Michael KDFW

October 31, 200619 yr I'm sorry you feel that way or think this post is humorous. It's a pity that there are those in this Forum that are lacking manners when someone asks for help. Maybe it would be best to not post a reply at all if your intent is to belittle or intimidate. I'm sure you will remember this post the next time you read:POST"Could someone tell me where the FSX.cfg file is located."REPLY"Here we go again. I can't believe this is being asked again. Seems like I have to read this every other day. Why can't you just find it yourself. You appear to have some limited knowledge of computers. Geez!"PROPER REPLY"Hi, Easist way to locate that file is to use Windows Search. Click on Start, then the word Search located at the right. Then click Files and Folders, enter FSX.cfg for the search word and click Search."SDP.S. Michael, thank you for pointing out the Alert fearure. I had never noticed it before.

I misinterpreted your post, thought you were talking about censoring negative FSX post. It's because of this FSX craze... :(Marco "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".

October 31, 200619 yr Author That is an excellent point. Let's hope some civility returns to this forum which, of course, does not mean censorship or suppression of ideas. As far as the OT, I don't think the original poster is talking about the heated discussions of late but is referring to trolls. They can turn an otherwise good intelligent discussion into a name calling free for all. Use the alert button wisely.Ian.
