Basic Controls

Featured Replies

There is no manual or documentation provided with MSFS, probably because it is useless. But I can't understand what the "basic controls" command is for?

It can be activated with Ctrl-C or through the toolbar. On my system, it just shows a nice image of my device controls (Thrustmaster T. 1600 joystick ans Saitek throttle quadrant), nothing more. Did I miss something?

Thanks,

Eric

In FSX selecting 'simple controls' sets the sensitivity and null zone settings for ailerons, elevators and throttle with one slider. Selcting 'advanced controls' gives you separate sliders for each axis. Maybe it's that.

I don't think so. The "basic controls" command in MSFS just pops a window with a nice view of each control device, it is not a "control mode" like in FSX. I first thought it would display the command associated to each button/axis but no... It shows nothing else than the device image.

Did you ready question?

My question is not about setting up the controls, I already did this successfully, no problem.

My question is about the "basic controls" command (Ctrl-C or toolbar). What is that for?
