Featured Replies

Has anyone been able to import and use the default FS2004 aircraft in FSX-do you need to make changes to the .cfg files ?

Yes, the Vimy and Jenny are still a lot of fun - though they "look" poor when compared to the FSX default aircraft.

Here's my steps for moving the FS9 Red/Black c172 and others to FSX:0)Make a new dir C:FS_XSimObjectsAirplanesc172fs91)Copy C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9Aircraftc172 toC:FS_XSimObjectsAirplanesc172fs92) edit C:FS_XSimObjectsAirplanesc172fs9aircraft.cfg Change each title=...by adding fs9 at the end, so you don't have duplicate names. That's it, didn't seem to need to copy over or change anything else. The new FS-X c172s look much better in and out,but its neat to have the old familiar Red 172 as an option again.
