Allocate more CPU cycles to terrain loading ?

I'm really interested from where this rumor with "only 4 cores being used" is coming. In my case I see 16 threads (8 cores, HT on) being used with 25-40% more or less evenly distributed. No 100% pegging. I conclude, that I'm bottlenecked by my GPU (2800Ti with 3440x1440). To come back to OP, unfortunately I have this late terrain allocation too, but it is more prominent in dense urban areas.

I'm getting even usage and temps across 16 threads (30%-60%), and 65% GPU usage. FS FPS counter shows GPU bottleneck which is expected. I'm testing all aircraft types, and different scenarios. fps locked at 30.

I have an older, inexpensive 32" 4k monitor. I can only set it to 30Hz or 60Hz. I tried a bunch of different options that were pegging my gpu at 100% with stutters even when setting the sim to 2k. I ended of setting the monitor at 30Hz, locking FPS in the sim to 60 and turning on vsync. These setting have made a major difference for me. Most setting are Ultra.
