X-Plane 11.x FPS Stuck at 27

Featured Replies

For the last several weeks XP11.5x has been stuck at 27 fps no matter what I try, and this happens to no other game or flight sim.  I've tried 11.41, the betas, RC2, RC3, and it's all the same.  I can change graphics settings from the highest to lowest quality and still 27fps.  I can use Oculus Rift S or three monitors or one monitor.  27 fps.  Am I in a Hitchcock movie?

I'm using During this time I've upgraded my graphics card to a RTX 2070 Super, updated the driver and reset all settings to factory.   Oculus Rift settings are factory except for supersampling at 1.5.    I'm using MSI Afterburner.

I've posted on the X-Plane Forum but no response there.  Hoping someone here might have a clue.  Thanks.  Help.  Arrgh.  Drowning here....

It looks like you're CPU bound.  Plugins chew up CPU cycles like a piranha chews through meat.  Get rid of your 3rd party plugins and then test again.

from the menu at the top, select "plugin admin" then click on the performance tab.

post a screenshot (imgur good for screenshots here)

this should give enough detail to know what is preventing you getting higher fps.

There is no need to go through the "delete plugins" ball pain as of 11.50
