September 7, 20205 yr Hi Been using MSFS with my CH products yoke and rudder pedals. They usually work fine except in the last week they have stopped responding completely at random They still show in the sim settings but it recognises no movement in the devices. If you unplug them and plug them back in they don’t even show back up. I thought at first the issue was the sim but in the windows game controller settings it doesn’t show the movement either. Same issue if I unplug them they do not show back until I restart the computer. Eventually after 10 restarts or so they come good, I have tried using both CH control manager and windows to fix this with no luck. They don’t stop responding mid-flight, the computer starts with them not working at random. I also do not think it’s my USB as I have tried the all of the ports front and back and I have no problems with my keyboard and mouse any suggestions? MSFS 2024

This defintley would make sense that they stop working when I run the sim considering how much power it would need. MSFS 2024

Worth a try anyway. before 2015 under Windows 7 I had horrible similar problems with my Saitek yoke and Multi-Panel. The Multi-Panel would quit mid flight regardless of if it was connected to a USB port on the yoke or to a separate powered USB hub. I ordered the optional power supply for the yoke and oddly when it was connected the Muilti-Panel grew dim. Unplug it the Multi-Panel would get bright again. Odd. And either way it still bailed on me every flight. My flights average a bit over two hours. Then I found out about the Advanced Power Management, applied the fixes, and never again had an issue. Hope it is what you are dealing with and fixes it also. For Saitek devices there was also a small app to change some registry entries that were specific to the Saitek products. I have a four port desktop powered USB 3.0 hub. I have a 32 GB thumbdrive inserted into the hub. Has worked fine for five years under my old system. When I boot the system up from cold and dark I can hear a ba-beep. When I look for the thumbdrive it's not being found by the system. Pull it out and put it back in then it's fine until I do a cold boot. For some reason I believe it is ejecting, for want of a better term, when the system boots. Have not been able to figure it out. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it to no avail. I have no other issues with that 3.0 hub either. Mysteries, mysteries.
