Yeah they hide them... nice to be able to back them up as well.

Yes, that too. I use my xbox controller strictly for views, and for some reason it's being reset constantly. Now I can hopefully back it up.

The place to adjust the sensitivities for the three axis is the flight_model.cfg file located in the [yourdrive:]\WpSystem\S-1-5-21-3080998185-3697329459-3857506411-1013\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore\asobo-aircraft-da62\SimObjects\Airplanes\Asobo_DA62 (using the DA as an example). Look for the Flight_Tuning section. There you will find the values for elevator, aileron and rudder effectiveness.

As a start point, I reduced the control surfaces effectiveness to 70% of the default value, and slightly increased the stability factors to 0.40 (from 0.33 in the DA62. The trim effectiveness were also reduced to 70% of their original values. These adjustments eliminated the twitchiness of the control inputs and  made the DA62 and the Icon A5 flyable again.

[FLIGHT_TUNING]
cruise_lift_scalar = 1
parasite_drag_scalar = 1
induced_drag_scalar = 1.5
flap_induced_drag_scalar = 2
elevator_effectiveness = 0.7                 ;Def 1
elevator_maxangle_scalar = 1
aileron_effectiveness = 0.7                    ;Def 1
rudder_effectiveness = 1.4                    ;Def 2
rudder_maxangle_scalar = 0.5
pitch_stability = 0.40                            ;Def 0.33
roll_stability = 0.40                                ;Def 0.33
yaw_stability = 0.40                                ;Def 0.33
elevator_trim_effectiveness = 0.7        ;Def 1
aileron_trim_effectiveness = 0.7        ;Def 1
rudder_trim_effectiveness = 0.7            ;Def 1
hi_alpha_on_roll = 0
hi_alpha_on_yaw = 0
p_factor_on_yaw = 0
torque_on_roll = 0
gyro_precession_on_roll = 0
gyro_precession_on_yaw = 0
engine_wash_on_roll = 0 ; Torque effect

Adjusting the controller sensitivity only decreases the sensitivity at the lower end of travel, then increasing it at the upper end.

Unfortunately these changes have to be made for each aircraft. I only tested them on the two aircraft above, and while each aircraft flight model is unique, the values above might be a good starting point.

Save a copy of your changes, as these files might be overwritten during a future update.

Jorge
