Leg two of my trip across the U.S. was slightly more eventful. I departed Portland at 5:46 A.M. with clear skies and a beautiful sunrise. Clouds continued to build enroute to Santa Barbara, and the METAR for KSBA showed a ceiling of 600 feet! Luckily, I broke out of the soup at a bit over 1,000 feet AGL on ILS runway 7. The flight duration from wheels up to touchdown was 3:58.
