Simbrief flight planning for the citation jets

Featured Replies

Looking at trying out the CJ4 and Longitude a bit more. Was looking through airframe options in Simbrief for flight planning and didn’t see anything obvious. Just wondering if there are any options in there that are close to the CJ4 and Longitude for fuel and cruise altitude purposes. Or if anyone has a link to custom airframe settings for them.

There's a CJ4 MOD out there on the official Flight Simulator forms that you might want to get first.  Choose the one for the latest 1.9 update.  I would hold off on trying out the Longitude until the inflight oscillation problem is fixed.  Once you get past 30,000ft feet the aircraft violently bounces up and down until you cut off the autopilot.  This can happen at lower altitudes.  Something with the adjustment of the sim's FDE model created this problem with the last patch.  Hopefully they fix it with the next patch.

I've used the CJ2 option in Simbrief and it's... well, it's worked fine. I don't know how accurately, but I've got from A to B! I'd hold off getting into either of the Citation jets until they fix the porpoising that Dillon describes. They worked better on initial release, so I'm sure they'll fix them again soon, but they'll drive you mad at the moment.

Thanks. Yeah I know the longitude is broken for sure. Was going to check out the CJ4 mod for sure though which is partly why I’m trying to figure out which simbrief profiles to use with these. I didn’t want to get into using it and end up overloaded on fuel for landing etc.
