Observation on sensitivity

Featured Replies

I read in some thread here that the sensitivites had been fixed in the latest patch, and some suggested setting sensitivites back to 100%. That was working great for them. "Ok, kewl, Im gonna try that" I thought, especially since I am trying to get to the bottom of the left wing dip on flare on the airbus. Perhaps the sensitivites play a role there? Who knows, anyway...

So I have just set my main control sensitivities to a 100%, and I find the way they behave quite surprising. What I would THINK would happen is that with 100% sensitivity my full range of motion on the stick would be reflected on the control surfaces. If I just give a little bit if input, that is what I should be getting on the surfaces.

That is not what I find. Instead, at 100% sensitivity, I just need to breathe on my stick for the surfaces to go to full deflection. In other words, totally unusable. I might have dreamt I read that this was changed, and in reality, 100% sensitivity is not practical or even safe.

Ah well my mistake. I see that I set the controls to 100%, but that of course should have been set to 0%. Restesting now.

So now you have me confused..lol. When you say sensitivity, what setting are you talking about and where is it. My sensitivity is under controls, where i control my axis.I have them set to 0%.

Not any more. That was my mistake. I had them adjusted to maybe 20% or so (a lot more left of center), and during a brainfart I set them to 100% and posted about it hehe 😄

So now I have to follow through and see how it feels with 0% (which is an increase of sensitivity from what I had them on earlier).

Ok, great for clearing that up for me..lol.   I was having big problems with the CJ4 on take off, because i had mine sensitivities way off. I too have changed them back to 0% , which is much better for me.

Why should an increase in sensitivity help?

Happy with MSFS 🙂
